The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Training Center (MDSTC) currently offers six academic classrooms for use and rental. The facility has six available classroom spaces that can accommodate from 24 to 44 students. Most classrooms include an 84" Smart Board Interactive Screen, white boards, and sound systems.

  • Classrooms 401, 402, 403, and 404: These four classrooms are nearly identical in size, orientation, furnishings, and equipment. They feature comfortable independent seating for a maximum of 44 students, an instructor's computer station, an 84" Smart Board screen, storage, and two entrances/exits. These classrooms are wheelchair accessible
  • Lecture Room 2 (LR2): This is a raised auditorium-style lecture room featuring 48 fixed-position workstations with fold away desktops. The room also features an integrated Smart Board screen and podium
  • Classroom 706-B: This classroom is located in the Training Center's Survival City area and is similar to the 400-series classrooms. It has an 84" Interactive Smart Board System and is wheelchair accessible

Command Post Classroom

  • Interactive training arena utilizing state-of-the-art technology
  • Designed for strategic and command-level training for large-scale events and emergency operations
  • To be utilized in active, scenario-driven training with a separate viewing room for those not actively engaged in the scenario

Computer Lab

  • 24-station Nova Smart Desk computer lab equipped with an instructor's module and a smart board system
  • Features 24 personal computer workstations
  • Includes personal computer and console for the instructor and an 84" LED-based SmartBoard System
