Arrests Made in Vehicle Air Bag Theft Ring
MIAMI-DADE ( August 25, 2026 )– The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO), Intracoastal District Auto Theft Unit has arrested three individuals and are seeking a fourth regarding numerous vehicle air bag thefts.
According to investigators, deputies from the Intracoastal District (ID) had responded to several locations to document incidents where vehicles had been burglarized and the airbags stolen. Through investigative means, detectives were able to identify the individuals responsible for these crimes, and with the assistance of (ID) uniform patrol and the Crime Suppression Team (CST), they were taken into custody without incident.
These individuals are responsible for over 40 airbags stolen, and the investigation remains ongoing.
