The Communications Bureau serves as the primary link between the public and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office by receiving and dispatching emergency and non-emergency calls for service throughout unincorporated Miami-Dade County.
The Bureau operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is responsible for processing 911 emergency calls and dispatching appropriate law enforcement, fire rescue, and other emergency services to respond to calls for assistance.
