MDSO Arrests Subject for Shooting at Cyclist
MIAMI-DADE (August 25, 2026)– The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Cutler Bay Municipal District has arrested Raimero Rios in connection with an incident in which a motorist allegedly attempted to strike a cyclist before firing a gun at him.
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., MDSO Cutler Bay Municipal District deputies responded to the area of SW 87 Avenue and SW 184 Street regarding reports of a shooting.
The investigation revealed that multiple cyclists were traveling in the area when the driver of a black SUV attempted to run one of the cyclists off the roadway. A verbal dispute followed, during which the driver produced a firearm and fired at the cyclist before fleeing the area.
The cyclist was not struck by the gunfire, and no injuries were reported.
Through investigative efforts, detectives identified the driver as Raimero Rios and subsequently placed him under arrest and charged him accordingly.
