In February 2026, detectives from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Organized Crimes Bureau received information through a Crime Stoppers tip regarding the storage and sale of counterfeit merchandise.

According to investigators, Ms. Perez-Labrada was operating an illegal business from her residence, where she was selling counterfeit designer merchandise.

As part of the investigation, MDSO detectives executed a search warrant at the residence and discovered a retail-style setup containing numerous suspected counterfeit items openly displayed for sale.

Further investigation revealed that Ms. Perez-Labrada was also utilizing a storage unit to store additional counterfeit merchandise. Detectives recovered and seized merchandise with an estimated total retail value of approximately $1,743,045.

Ms. Perez-Labrada was taken into custody and charged accordingly.
