Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Arrests Teacher Following Investigation into Sexual Relationship with Student

On Monday, June 1, 2026, detectives from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO), Special Victims Bureau, arrested Mr. Michael J. Enriquez, a teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, for engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a student.

The investigation revealed that in May 2025, Mr. Enriquez started a sexual relationship with one of his students, who was seventeen years old at the time.  He continued the sexual relationship with the student until May 2026, after the student had turned eighteen. 

Detectives believe there may be additional victims.  Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Special Victims Bureau at 305-715-3300 or the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (305-471-8477).
