MIAMI-DADE (September 7, 2026) – At approximately 6:30 a.m., Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (MDSO) Northside District deputies responded to an apartment fire near the intersection of NW 14 Avenue and NW 103 Street.

Upon arrival, deputies observed a third-floor apartment fully engulfed in flames and immediately began evacuating residents from the building.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. Once the fire was extinguished, a deceased individual was located inside the apartment.

MDSO Homicide Bureau detectives, along with arson investigators, responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed. The investigation continues.
