MIAMI-DADE SHERIFF’S OFFICE TO HIGHLIGHT EMPLOYEE MENTAL WELLNESS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

September 29, 2026-Det. Joseph R. Peguero [email protected](305) 471-1900

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. —The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office will host a presentation highlighting the agency’s comprehensive Employee Mental Wellness Programs and Services, an initiative designed to support the emotional health, resilience and overall well-being of the men and women who serve our community.

Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz invites members of the media to attend the presentation, which will provide an overview of the resources and innovative initiatives available through the Employee Mental Wellness Office.

Law enforcement personnel routinely face demanding and challenging circumstances in the course of their duties. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office recognizes the importance of ensuring that deputies and agency employees have access to resources that can help them manage those challenges, strengthen resilience and maintain their overall well-being.

The presentation will provide an opportunity to learn more about the services offered through the Employee Mental Wellness Office, including EEG-guided Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (eTMS). This innovative, non-invasive treatment utilizes advanced diagnostic techniques and FDA-cleared equipment to provide a personalized approach to Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), with the goal of supporting overall brain health and cognitive function.

Note: At the conclusion of the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a guided tour of the facility.
