Operation Safe Summer 2026 Statistics
MIAMI-DADE (September 16, 2026)– From July 29, 2026 through September 13, 2026, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) implemented Operation Safe Summer throughout Miami-Dade County. This proactive initiative curtailed criminal activities and improved quality of life for our citizens.
As always, public safety is our top priority. Deputies were out across the county, in uniform and plain clothes, focusing on high-visible patrols and smart enforcement to protect where we live, work, and play.
Deputies conducted high visibility details such as park details, community outreach events, bike patrols, traffic and parking enforcement, DUI details, and other crime prevention initiatives.
