The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Training Center training facilities are available for use free of charge to our partner agencies. The facilities are available for rent to other local and federal law enforcement agencies, as well as all branches of the U.S. military. For rental inquiries, please call 305-715-5114. Partner agencies may not make reservations on behalf of outside agencies.

The following resources are available for use and rental, consolidated into three main categories for your convenience.

Academic and Technology Facilities

  • Classrooms: The MDSTC offers six available classroom spaces that can accommodate from 24 to 44 students. Most classrooms include an 84" Smart Board Interactive Screen, white boards, and sound systems.
  • Command Post Classroom: A state-of-the art technology based and interactive training arena designed for strategic and command-level training for large-scale events and emergency operations.
  • Computer Lab: A 24-station Nova Smart Desk computer lab equipped with an instructor's module and smart board system.

Physical Training and Wellness Facilities

  • Gymnasium: A full sized basketball court gymnasium complete with retractable bleachers. The gym is equipped with climbing ropes, defensive tactics training mats, and protective vinyl floor coverings
  • Aquatic Center: Includes a near Olympic-sized swimming pool with lane markers and a covered spectator area
  • Defensive Tactics Training Room: A specialty training arena equipped with mats, bags, and defensive training equipment
  • Agility/Obstacle Course: A multi-structure agility course that offers a wide variety of fitness challenges. Structures include a high wall and low wall, military crawl, balance beams, monkey bars, pull-up bars, parallel bars, and climbing structures
  • Fitness Center: The Wellness Unit operates a full complement of fitness and physical conditioning facilities, including a spacious, matted, exercise and weight room

Firearm Ranges

The MDSTC is home to three advanced firearm ranges. The facility offers four firearm ranges for use and rental:
  • Two 50-yard qualification ranges. Range two features a running man that spans all 24 positions
  • One 100-yard tactical range (Range three) with 30 turning target positions, a running man, and pop-up steel targets
  • One 200-yard rifle range (Range four) with covered cement staging and a configurable target area
